Cabinets are Done

Cleaned up the sink today. This is a cast iron, 6 foot long sink that we bought at the salvage yard in New Bedford, MA. The kitchen cabinets had to be bumped out and beefed up to support the weight. A plate on the bottom of the sink reads made in Pittsburg, PA,  February 12, 1951.

The cabinets are all in place. Marty finished all of the trim and the crown molding across the top. The pantry is also done.  The appliances are being delivered on Saturday, because the folks are coming on Monday to do the templates for the countertops.

I am waiting to put the island in until after the appliances are installed. I am making the countertop for the island from some of the old wood from the house, so the island does not need to be in place for the countertop people.
