Front door
Finished the trim around the front door. We had to build the entire thing from scratch, because we used the original, and it not a standard size. We will add in the new window above the door when it gets here. We are trying to finish up all of the exterior trim so that the siding folks can get their job done when they show up in a week or so. We should also be ready for the other subcontractors in a couple of weeks, then things should start getting busy.

What kind of siding? I've been enjoying watching the progress, Matt, and wishing I had a husband like you to do some work on MY new house! :) So far, the gardening I can do myself, except for the day I had steve come with a mini-excavator and pull out some heavy stuff, stumps, and grade what was left. Heavy equipment rocks.....
ReplyDeleteWe are using a prepainted, cement board (hardi board). The siding guys are going to finish the entire outside of the house, so in a week or so we should be mostly done with the outside of the house.
