Siding and Trim

The siding and the exterior trim is going on the house this week.  When these guys are done, the entire outside of the house will be done.  They are trimming out all of the windows and doors, trimming the outside corners, finishing all of the soffits, and adding a water board at the bottom and freeze board at the top.  Here are a couple pictures:

We finally received all of the oak beams and custom brackets that we need to finish the first floor ceiling. I am going to wait until the siding guys are done, so that we are not tripping over each other.  I also need to get the entire first floor ceiling sand blasted, which also involves taking out all of the new beams and all of old wood in the barn and laying everything out in the driveway so that it can all be sand blasted.  Once that is done, we will be ready for all of the subcontractors to come in and start with the details (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
